Biophilic Circular Design Studio
My goal is create “Biophilic Spaces” reintroducing nature and health in our lives.
As an architect, I believe in a design that takes into account the influence of people on nature. In my designs I use the principles of the Circular Economy, Biomimicry, Biophilia and "Bioclimatic Architecture" (C2C) where it is basically about learning from nature, what nature can mean for the space and well-being of people and the optimal use of healthy materials.
With Biophilic Design I bring different properties of the natural world back into our daily lives with positive effects on our mind and health.
My architecture and garden designs are based in the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci spiral improving our cognitive conection with nature.
We use plants that extra purify the air and absorb harmful chemicals from our environments, such as carcinogenic compounds and fine dust. We know this thanks to the NASA study of 1989 to know which plants we could take to Mars. Vital Mind uses these plants in our kokedama designs, they help to moisture the air, which helps keeps respiratory distress at bay. A green environment generally remove feelings of stress.
They are easy maintenance, and can be reused all-over as there is no pottery to be substituted, so it isfully recyclable. Our green panels are sound-absorbing green panels with maintenance-free moss dirt-repellentand and fire-retardant.
This circular plant is inspired by the Japanese art Kokedama.
They encapsulate the aesthetic of Wabi-sabi, which is the appreciation of the imperfections of nature and the transience of natural beauty.
The moss is conecting us with the nature it zelf, through the fractals paterns.
1€ of each plant is donated to the Initiatief Groot Groen of Haarlem Oost to conserve our biodiversity.
